SUMMER VACATION, Day 5: Bar Harbor to Bourne

It was moving day.

But before we left town, we wanted to walk on the bar at low tide.

And that's a sand bar!

It was teeming with life.

Barnacles, mollusks, crabs.

And starfish, hidden under rocks you had to flip to find the little guys.

Like that. Look at that girl!

It's been grand, Bar Harbor. We'll come again. Maybe forever.

But the road, not to mention our kids and the Chambers clan, beckoned.

We arrived at the family's beach rental in Bourne's Sagamore Beach just in time for dinner.
